How to Use the Planet Coloring Page
There are a lot of ways to use the planet coloring page but here are some of our favorites:
- Use the planet coloring sheet when doing a unit study on space. stars, and planets. Have kids create their own universe.
- Use the planet page as part of your alphabet study. It’s perfect for the letter P and can be added to your alphabet coloring fun.
- Any universe is incomplete without stars and nebulas. Color the background, too!
- Practice language arts! Ask kids to provide parts of speech that are related to planets and the universe.
- Make a collage! Color the planet and glue some paper moons and stars around it.
What to Use with This Coloring Page
The universe is full of color and this planet coloring sheet leaves a lot to the imagination! Do you want to decorate your planet with dots and stripes? That’d look so cool! Or would you rather paint it with solid colors? Go for it! There’s no right or wrong way of coloring your planet sheet. It’s your planet, so have fun with it!

- Neon markers – Make your artwork glow from far, far away! Blend edges with a bit of alcohol or water for the coolest of effects.
- Glitter and glue – Print it out on cardstock and go wild with some glitter. Or, if you’d like it to be less messy, use glitter makers or glue. Make your love shine bright!
